U.K. teachers step up strike action threat

Teachers have stepped up the threat of strike action at their troubled Leeds school. The staff, from City of Leeds School in Woodhouse, have been at loggerheads with their bosses for months over dealing with unruly pupils.

A long-serving teacher has already been sacked after he was criticised over the way he dealt with a 17-year-old who struck out at him.

And now his former colleagues have said they would be prepared to take industrial action after taking part in an "indicative" ballot held by the National Union of Teachers (NUT).
